It has become an understanding now that golfers are secretly consuming CBD oil over the past couple of years. Tiger Woods and Phil Michelson are known to have consumed CBD stuffed gums at their recent tournaments this year. It includes Master tournament which Woods won.
Another golfer, Bubba Watson has also announced his multi-year partnership with CBD in May. Watson claimed that the use of CBD helps him to whatever ailment and inflammation he faced over throughout his career. The forty years golfer said that in his long career his doctors are involved in doing research on him regarding what companies are there which can make a safer product for him and his family. There is no barrier for him to consume CBD products.
The legal status of CBD in a few countries has set a trend in golfers to reach CBD oil. It started with PGS Champions Tour where only senior golf players over 50 take part. The senior golfers feel aches and pains during play as compared to the young golfers. Though players participating in PGA Champions tours are drug tested, CBD is more readily accepted by older players for their physical strength reason.
Scott McCarron, a senior golfer, said in an interview with ESPN, “I think everybody was taking a wait-and-see approach. They want to make sure it is legal and there is nothing in it. One of the things with the Tour, to their credit, they put out a statement saying it’s not illegal to take this substance, but you better make sure you know what’s in it.”
