Jubilant Biosys to Commence its Major Capacity Expansions to Cater the Growing Customer Demand for its Drug Discovery Services

Jubilant Biosys, a Bengaluru-located subsidiary of Jubilant Lifesciences Limited has made an announcement to initiate the expansion of two its projects in Greater Noida and Bengaluru. The unit has taken the decision to cater to the growing customers’ demand for its range of functional and integrated drug discovery services. Jubilant Biosys has already started to design and construct the brand new and state-of-the-art chemistry services laboratories on the existing Jubilant Greater Noida site.

The new site will be designed for the highest global compliance standards and it will deliver superior speed as well as quality in the entire drug discovery process. In addition to this, the chemistry FTE capacity will be doubled and operations will start from H2 2020. And in Bengaluru, Jubilant Biosys has obtained a 10-acre plot in the Devanahalli Industrial Park that is near to the International Airport. Apart from this, a new digital business unit consisting of Bio-Informatics, Data-curation for AI/ML, TrialStat EDC software as well as discovery focussed AI/ML capabilities has been formed in order to transfer benefits to the customers.

Marcel Velterop, Jubilant Biosys President has said that the drug discovery unit has contributed to improving the customer confidence through its scientific execution and a positive outlook in the global drug discovery industry. In addition to this, it will offer the customers with the much-improved capacity and services to deliver an integrated IND package along with superior functional discovery services. He said that the use of the best talent and state-of-the-art technology will be given to pursue drug discovery collaborations.
