4 Records Broken by the US Women’s Soccer Winning Team at the 2019 World Cup

It’s no surprise to a lot of people that the US Women’s National Soccer Team has won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, especially with how well they have been playing.

What’s surprising is how they did it. And what’s even more surprising are the number of records they broke, to win the cup. While some women are doing weird things to get fame or make money like these online, the US women have broken a lot of records doing what they love.

Below are some of the records they were able to break:

1- The 13-0 Win Against the Thailand Team Is the Highest Margin in Any Soccer Game Ever

Even though many didn’t like how they celebrated their win against the Thailand team, that didn’t take away from what they achieved with the number of goals.

The 13-0 victory is the highest margin ever, in a soccer game.

And not just a record in women’s soccer game, but a record in the history of FIFA soccer games, ever.

Before this victory, the highest margin had been the 11-0 win of Germany over Argentina in 2007’s men World Cup.

2- They Scored 4 of The Fastest Goals in Any Women’s World Cup Match

This record was created in the 13-0 win against Thailand.

They scored the quickest four goals within six minutes between their fourth and seventh goals.

The goals were the fastest ever scored in any Women’s World Cup match.

3- The Highest Number of Players Who Scored Goals in a Single Match

They also achieved this in the 13-0 win against Thailand. The seven different players who each scored different goals, led to this record.

The US team also got the record for having three different players score multiple goals, playing in the same match.

These three players were Morgan, Lavelle, and Mewis.

4- They Won a Record Number of 4 Total Women’s World Cup Titles

Their win over Netherlands brought their number of total title wins to 4, which is more than any other nation ever, in Women’s World Cup history.

They have truly inspired a lot of people around the world, especially women. Even those playing other games have been inspired to great heights just watching what they achieved.

Of course there are many who didn’t really like how they may have allegedly humiliated the Thailand team or how they behaved when they won along the way, that doesn’t take away from what they have achieved.
