When you first meet 24-year old Reece Larkin, it is hard to imagine that he has a long list of achievements to his name, including turning over $1M dollars on Fiverr in two years, running a multiple-figure marketing agency, and most recently co-founding his own design studio, Tokyo Customs. In only a few years, Reece has achieved levels of success that many people twice his age can only dream of. This is no coincidence. It is a result of countless hours of working and unbroken focus.
Creating Empires
Since Reece was only 10 years old, he told his mother he was going to run his own business. Since then, he has not only run one but multiple businesses. He started his social media and PR firm, Blackcorn Marketing in 2016, as an answer to the desires of many brands who seek to be seen and heard in today’s digital world.
“We understand the complexities around marketing and can help clients know which aspect is best for their business objectives,” Reece Larkin says about his agency. “We offer a range of solutions and often end up with bespoke marketing packages to ensure that Blackcorn is setting out to achieve the client’s goals. We like our relationship with our clients to be a two-way thing and we want to be seen as an invaluable asset to our clients”
In only four years of existence, Blackcorn has recorded an immense level of success and served clients from different parts of the world. Reece Larkin has now expanded his reach even further and founded Tokyo Customs, a custom car, and motorbike studio with his partner, Ross Taylor.
“ At Tokyo Customs, we specialize in delivering projects across Custom Paint, Performance Motorcycles, and Classic Restoration. We focus on pushing boundaries of design and innovation with attention to detail- that is our signature approach.”
Beyond their unique strategy, Tokyo Customs has been developed to offer a fully rounded service from initial concept development, design, through to custom build or restoration with tailored paintwork & finishes meeting any taste, and guaranteeing satisfaction for their customers. The studio is headquartered in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, and has already partnered with many notable brands and businesses, both locally and internationally.
Lessons Learnt
Throughout his career, Reece Larkin has learned some valuable lessons that have helped him stay on track. He shares some of them with us;
- Keep processes simple: Don’t over complicate tasks as this sucks time. Complexity slows down the growth of a startup completely.
- It’s always okay to ask for help: Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. Leverage the knowledge and skills of the people around you to grow your business.
- Learn to say no: Not every idea that crosses the conference room table is a great one. It is okay to refuse a proposal if it won’t serve your business or help you make progress.
