George Scorsis is a man who has a stellar track record in managing businesses in the highly regulated sector. Some of the industries he became a part of include energy drink, alcohol, and cannabis. He spends over 15 years working with some of the giant names in the industry, such as Liberty Healthy Sciences, Red Bull Canada, Aphria, and the most current one, WeedMD. He is the executive chairman of WeedMD, a licensed cannabis product procedure for both medical and adult-use market. WeedMD has recently acquired Starseed Medicinal Inc., a licensed medical cannabis company in Bowmanville, Ontario.

He grew up in Scarborough and had fond memories of his childhood. He may have traveled different parts of the world, but Scarborough will always have a special place in his heart. During the shortage of food in The Agincourt Food Bank in Scarborough, he spearheaded a massive food drive and rallied local business executives who, too, have fond memories of Scarborough. It has resulted in truckloads of foods dropped off at the Agincourt Food Bank, which helped many people.
