Bryan McCoy comes from a family of thrillseekers. He was born and Brought up on a ranch in New Mexico. And his family is filled with racers. Even his grandparents were into race car driving. His grandfather contributed to creating the first race car track in their home town called Uranium Speedway.
Coming from a family of Adventure lovers, Bryan McCoy grew up loving stunts. He wanted to be as great as Evil Knievel growing up. Even his family was supportive of his endeavors.
When Bryan failed at his attempts as a kid, his father would lovingly call him “Awful Knaweful”. But when he became 19 years of age he wanted to follow his dreams. He moved to many places, taking up small gigs here and there. But finally, he moved to Los Angeles.
He struggled there for 4 years after that he received his SAG card. Then he became part of a low budget movie. That was a huge achievement for him. And since then Bryan has not looked back. He has founded his own stunt company called Real McCoy Stunts.
Bryan loves his life as a stuntman. It requires not only a physical level of fitness but also requires poise. Mental strength is as important as physical strength. That’s why Bryan admires the stunt community. He said that he is proud to a part of the badass community in Hollywood.
Bryan McCoy made it in the industry without any contacts. He built up his network as he worked his way to the top. His journey is an inspiration for many.
