Gamers are Excitedly Looking Forward to the Remastered Version of Old Games than the New Ones

Music remixes have become immensely popular. So, have been the remakes of films and other classes series. The similar trend has been seen in gaming as well. Remastering of classics is the most recent trend in gaming.

The fans are highly elated by some of these games. It sends a great wave of nostalgia. And latest in the list could be Diablo II remastered.

Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision-Blizzard recently said that game enthusiasts can expect a remastered version of some games by 2020. He said that these versions would be remastered and re-imagined. Ever since this statement came, fans have been speculating that this could be Diablo II.

When Warcraft 3: Reforged was released, a lot of fans got upset. This 2002 game in its new version left a lot of key components. The comparison between old and new games also upset a lot of fans of the old version. The IPs of Blizzard were built by old school Diablo fans. So some people also expressed the opinion over the internet that this move may result in loss of trust by the old users.

Some users said that the comparison between old and new is bound to happen. What users want is quality. People are open to remastering as long as that can be retained.

While some are excitedly looking forward to Diablo 2 remastered version and the D2 items, some of the users even called for Diablo IV instead of a remastered version of the old game. They said that the company should focus on creating something new rather than reinventing an old piece.
