Ex-Army Man From Illinois Receives his Graduation Degree at the Age of 90

ILLINOIS – An old man from Illinois, Bob Dwyer has received his graduate degree at the age of 90. Bob has served in the US army earlier. After his retirement from the army, he spent many years with his children and grandchildren. In 2010, he lost his wife and loneliness pushed him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University.

Chicago Tribune Reported, “Bob Dwyer has recently pursued Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from Northeastern Illinois University and on 6th May he received his degree. The studious man, Bob Dwyer spent two years in the university and worked hard towards his goal.

University Spokesperson Mike Hines said, “Bob become the first student of the college who received his Bachelor’s Degree at the age of 90 in the history of the college.” Bob’s Philosophy professor, Daniel Milisky said, ” The presence of the old man was very beneficial for the rest of the students as he is much experienced than the rest of the class.”

Previously, Bob had attended Wright College and Chicago College. But due to his joining in the military, he had to quit his study. He has nine children and 22 grandchildren. The entire family is feeling proud of him, as per the report of Chicago Tribune.

Bob told the Tribune, ” Before I entered the college, I was with a mindset that I know many things and it will be easy for me. But there were a lot of things which I did not know at that time. Remembering things at this stage of life was not an easy task for me. I have to work harder than other students for every subject. And now I will take rest for some time.
