Davoud Ghaffari, the Restaurant Mogul, Values Resilience over Everything

It is hard to start a business but it is harder to keep it going. Davoud Ghaffari who is the famous resturant owner learnt that through experience. Davoud had a rough childhood and had to eventually migrate to Istanbul. But his heart always stayed in Iran.

He couldn’t get over his motherland and missed it way too much. So, he did what anyone could have done in his position, he tried to make the best out of the situation. He opened an Iranian restaurant in Istanbul. And now it is one of the most famous Iranian places in the city.

In his interviews he disclosed how difficult it was for him to keep his business running. He was betrayed by his suppliers. And he ran out of money and stocks. Yet, he did not give up. He stood his ground and faced his problems head on. Mistakes made him learn, they were his stepping stones to success.

Sleepless nights, betrayals and disapprovals, he suffered it all. Even the Turkish language also acted like barrier. But Davoud Ghaffari did everything in his power to get the restaurant the recognition it deserved.

After the love of his life broke his heart, he did not turn into a mope teenager but became a focused businessman. Even though Davoud has a successful restaurant business he wants to mix things up a bit.

He said his dream was to open the largest casino in the world. In the end of an interview with Alireza Mansouri, he shared his words of wisdom. He said that life isn’t always easy but you have got to smile when dealing with the problems, put on a brave face.
