It is not true that America has been relieved from death-dealing substance. Asbestos is one of those which keeps finding its way into the lungs of America. Every year, asbestos is taking the lives of nearly 40,000 Americans. Though asbestos has been banned by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this time EPA itself seems to be the friend of asbestos. People in America are suffering from disabling lung diseases like asbestosis and mesothelioma.

The former EPA administrators had pointed before to rid the society of asbestos. But things are still struggling until Congress passes the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Act. This bill is currently in the House of Representative and everybody is hoping, the Energy and Commerce Committee would forward it to the House floor for passage.

Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act has already been passed in 2016 which gives EPA an authority to ban harmful chemicals but the current EPA is disappointing on the asbestos ban. West Virginia Asbestos Attorney is healing the wounds of asbestos victims by helping them to get the claims for medication and livings. West Virginia Mesothelioma Law Firm is fighting the claim cases of the asbestos victims in the court to provide them necessary claims.

Asbestos is a toxic mineral that is almost banned in each country but it is still being used in industries. It can also be found in consumer and automotive products, cosmetics, toys and construction materials. Scientists had started raising concerns about asbestos in 1906. In 1930, many kinds of research were found which showed that one in four workers is suffering from asbestos diseases. Until late 1980, the US is one of the top five consumers of the asbestos. The prevalence of asbestos materials in commercial and industrial construction during the second half of the 20th century has given way to a new industry of asbestos removal company‘s who are dealing with the catastrophic aftermath left by the burgeoning construction industry.
